Our Wedding

It all started with a swipe on Tinder in August 2020. A few weeks later, on&nbsp;September 17th, we met for our first date at the&nbsp;Baltic Market in Liverpool. We were both a little nervous, but it didn’t take long to settle in. Robbie spent most of the evening winding Steven up (a habit that’s only grown stronger over time), and Steven, ever the good sport, took it all in stride. Between the food, the drinks, and the laughter, something just clicked. By the end of the night, we both had a feeling that this was the start of something special. Since then, life has not always been easy, but together we have built a life full of love, laughter, and adventure. We have travelled the world, created a home with our dog Lady, and shared countless evenings filled with wine, cocktails, food, family, and friends. On&nbsp;September 4th, 2024, in a quiet moment at home, Steven asked Robbie to marry him. And in true Robbie fashion, he turned our trip to Mexico into a full-blown engagement celebration. Now, as we get ready for our wedding day, we’re so excited to celebrate with all of you, the people who mean the most to us. We can’t wait to raise a glass, hit the dance floor, and toast to the life we’ve built together. We also want to say a heartfelt thank you to our friends and family past and present. Your love, support, and laughter have been with us every step of the way. Whether you’ve been there for the big milestones or the quiet moments, we’re so grateful to have you in our lives. You’ve helped shape our journey, and we can’t wait to share this next chapter with you. There’s so much more to come, a lifetime of love, travel, laughter, and winding each other up. And we wouldn’t have it any other way.

Thornton Manor can be found centrally located on the Wirral Peninsula - Manor Road, Thornton Hough, <a href="https://maps.app.goo.gl/UFm74XZ87DqKqAWa8?g_st=ipc" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">CH63 1JB</a>. The Manor is a stunning <a href="https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1075420?section=official-list-entry" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Grade II*</a> listed building and we knew straight away it was the venue for us. The Manor features an ornate ballroom known as the ‘Music Room’ where the celebrations will take place. The Manor is set amongst extensive grounds and a scenic lake. It will be ours for the day and we cannot wait to share it with you.

Thornton Manor can be found centrally located on the Wirral Peninsula - Manor Road, Thornton Hough, <a href="https://maps.app.goo.gl/fTorASqwL9cuY2AA6?g_st=ipc" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">CH63 1JB</a>. The manor is a few minutes drive from Junction 4 of the M53 and the main entrance is marked by a grand Tudor Revival gatehouse.Train stations within the vicinity primarily serve local destinations, however Liverpool city centre and various hotel options are approximately 20 minutes driving distance.Accommodation at Thornton Manor itself and the nearby (and not to be confused) Thornton Hall is now all reserved for the evening of the wedding. The closest hotel otherwise is Premier Inn Heswall, a 5 minute drive, which also allows for early check in on the day.
